funhat replied:Take a look at TCAP as well if you are looking for services not related to an illness and need to save money: www.texasforthem.org I got 2 of my cats fixed there, both were less than $100 and we take our cats there for their shots/dewormers and antiflea meds because there is nowhere cheaper. Definitely call if you can't book an appointment online, they are incredibly friendly and helpful. I seriously cannot say enough good things about them. I wasted so much unnecessary money on vet appointments when I could have just been going here instead.

I asked them what was up - they said they didn't have a lot of money, but they wanted to get their dog help. They seemed genuinely concerned. Does anyone know any resources through a DCAP program or a place that can help them with low cost vet help? The dog is clearly suffering and they are trying to do the right thing. The Burleson clinic does shots Monday-Friday from 9-12. Rabies vaccinations can only be given by a licensed veterinarian although you can get the DAPPV from a feed store and give it yourself. TCAP charges .05 cents more for the DAPPv. Rabies is $5 and the DAPPv is $10
