About us
My fascination with the camera began at the age of two and has never diminished. As a young girl, and especially into my high school years, I was obsessed with recording every aspect of life that came within the range of my viewfinder. By the time I was ready for college, my hobby had become my life's passion and I knew that I needed to pursue a course of study that would allow me to turn this passion into my life's work.
I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in fine arts and a concentration in photography, and immediately went to work for one of the premier photojournalists in the DC and Northern Virginia areas. As an office manager and staff photographer, I continued to learn and hone my craft. It was here that I discovered that I particularly enjoyed capturing the real moments and true emotions of people in every day settings - whether it be a baby's first birthday, the graduation of high school student, a family's visit to a local park, or the wedding of a beautiful couple.
In building my own photojournalism business, I strive to capture the essence of each moment in every photo I take - such as that subtle smile couples exchange with each other in a room full of people, or the handshake and enthusiastic greeting of colleagues at a business function, or the good natured slap on the back of friends at a sporting event. I believe that when you look at a photograph it should invite you to remember how you "felt" in that moment.
