Flying Apron Bakery & Cafe is a GFCO certified and 100% dedicated gluten-free & vegan bakery & cafe. We serve local coffee from SEVEN roasters, loose leaf teas from Teahouse Kuanyin - we make everything from scratch, right down to our amazing hot sauce. Anonymous replied:Oh, friend. There is a short list because there aren't that many dedicated GF restaurants around. Most of the dedicated gluten-free places are bakeries and bakeries only, a short list of the ones I've tried: Flying Apron (offers pre-made food, also vegan), Wildflour Bakery in Bellevue (soy, bean, and corn free, mostly dairy free). Hayley's corner bakery (Kent). Capitol Cider (offers food on order, capitol hill). Nuflours (Capitol Hill). Coffee & Specialty Bakery (pike's place). All of these things can feasibly be delivered by a postmate/task rabbit/favor driver. Now there are places with gluten free menu items that will cater and are good about cross contamination: PF Chang's (dedicated gf menu, good process across the board, have never been ill in several locations) and Chipotle will cater (no hidden gluten, the only source is the obvious-flour tortillas). Again, you'd have to get a postmate or taskrabbit to go the distance. Asiana Bistro offers a mostly gluten-free menu and caters (applicable charges unknown). Most Indian places will also offer gluten-free dishes and deliver. There are a few Italian places that will offer gluten free and deliver (Certain Romio's locations, Razzi's-would recommend for sheer number of options). If you don't have issues with cross contamination, I'm sure there are quite a few more places you could add, but, thusfar, these are the only restaurants around where I've been able to eat and not had ill effects that could feasibly get large amounts food to you. I don't have experience with caterers here, so I can't offer recommendations on that end. Source: Celiac.
