About us
Hamlin Vet Clinic was established in 1989 by the team of Dr. Colin Bullmore and April Lavallee. In 2007, the practice was purchased by Dr. Robert Ratcliffe, a graduate of the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Dr. Ratcliffe has a wide range of experience working as a mixed animal practioner specializing in dairy medicine as well as a companion animal practioner since 2001.
In 2013, Hamlin Veterinary Clinic enthusiastically introduced Dr. Sandra Shaffer. Dr. Shaffer earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and joined HVC after four years of mixed animal practice in Wayne and Pike counties. Dr. Shaffer has eagerly brought her experience in small animal dentistry, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine to our clinic to ensure your pet's health. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, bird watching and hiking with her two dogs.
Both Dr. Ratcliffe and Dr. Shaffer are eager to meet you and your pets and look forward to serving you and the community for many years to come.
