About us
Basic Dog Obedience Training
For A Balanced Dog and A Happy Owner
I train the owners on training their dog. I offer private in home training. I follow a balanced style of training that included positive reinforcement to develop new behaviors and correction to stop unwanted behaviors. Each session is about an hour with one session a week. We cover creating engagement with your dog, Sit, Down, Stay, Recall, Walking on a loose leash and a Touch command. We can also target specific behaviors you may be facing. The cost of training is $60 a session.
Need a Pet Sitter? Your dog will stay with a loving family with a large backyard and welcome in the house. No Kennels. No Cages.
All breeds and sizes are welcome in our home. I feel it is important to have our dogs meet prior to the stay and for the dog owners to see where their dog will be staying. We require that all dogs are up to date on required vaccines: rabies, DHPP and bordetella vaccinations and we will need a copy of the current shots.
For dog sitting in my home:
$25.00 per day and/or overnight stay. ASK ABOUT LONG TERM RATES FOR STAYS OVER 10 DAYS.
On overnight stays, no charge for pick up before noon.
$15.00 for pick up between noon and 5:00 PM.
Full day charge of $25.00 for pick up after 5:00 PM.
Half day charge of up to 6 hours $15.00
Doggie Daycare 5 full days, Monday through Friday is $75 prepaid.
4 full days Monday through Friday is $70 prepaid.
$60 for 3 days Monday through Friday is $60
Drop in Daycare and weekend daycare:
$15 for up to 6 hours
$25 for over 6 hours

"My name is Roxie and I'm a dog. I love being a dog. More specifically, I'm a Boxer gal and I'm 11 years old. I got to spend a week at Doug's 's'paw'. He doesn't call his place a s'paw but he should. I think I had more of a vacation than my people did. I got daily walks, a car ride, first rate massages for my not young hips, and all the fun of living in a house and big yard instead of going to the boarding jail kennel... show more during my people's absence. He's the best and I highly recommend it as a place for dogs to go, whether it's for just a day of play while you have house work done, or a week like I got. He does training too but I'm SUCH a GOOD girl I don't need that."

"Doug has worked with us on training our little Jack Russell mix "terrorist". Our dog needs a lot of training. Doug was very clear on what we needed to do to give our dog some better manners--he gave us great directions to follow through on and made sure we understood the need to spend time exercising and working with our bundle of energy. Doug was so patient but firm with our dog, and he is becoming better mannered everyday. Plus Doug offers a great dog sitting experience at his home--our dog is always happy going there and is pretty mellow when we pick him up." show more
