Had a word with Richard at his stall. He immediately went for a look to assess our engine and discovered it was a much easier to repair issue. He had offered take a part from his display engine at the end of the show, to replace ours if necessary. Thankfully that wasn't required and it didn't take him long at all to get us up and running again. He also supplied us with all the necessary parts we needed to do a full engine service at the marina we were booked into. Top notch service, extremely helpful, great guy, highly recommend.

  I'm looking for a mechanic to work on the Gearbox of a Sabb GG engine. The gearbox has done 48 years service and is still basically working (both forward and reverse) but isn’t transmitting much power. So it needs a comprehensive overall, almost certainly some worn parts replacing and adjusting. I’ve got a comprehensive maintenance manual and know where to get spare parts, but its beyond my capabilities and I need to find a mechanic who can do the job. I don’t think they specifically need to be a Sabb expert, but do need to be comfortable working with old engines. Any suggestions for who might be able to do this work would be very much appreciated.
