This provider was hired after they misrepresented themselves. They were paid a total of $10,350 for a long list of residential construction services. And they were tossed off the job when it became obvious that they weren't there to actually do anything correctly. The list is long but here are some highlights: Kitchen Hood: The alignment of the chimney doesn't match the grooves on the unit. Improperly mounted to the ceiling and wall. Used decking screws to toenail into drywall instead of installing catting as instructed. Roof leak created by the contractor. Kitchen Cabinets: First the contractor demolished a 3inch spice cabinet by using wood that was cut and fastened improperly causing a bow. They cracked the same cabinet by driving a decking screw through it without a pilot hole. The decking screw was bad enough. But this rookie garbage? Inexcusable. Wasted veneer material to such a degree that one cabinet didn't even get a veneer installed. Kitchen Sink and Faucet: High end fixtures were purchased for this unit. Contractor failed to install the base plate. This led to the unit wobbling which led to use disassembling the unit. First issue, the base plate wasn't used. Second, no o ring or stabilization hardware that was included with the unit was used. Third, the contractor pin holed one of the hoses causing it to leleak... onto teak. Fourth, this job was done so ghetto that they didn't even use a hole saw to cut the opening. Fifth, this is an undermount sink mounted to butcher block. Not only did we have to disassemble the entire sink and use a Festool Saw to cut and square their garbage work, but they did not apply silicone to the sink/counter junction. Backsplash: Bondera was provided. We demo'd how to use the product. The genius 26 year old "wonder boy" Gregory Michael Cobb, 26 and unlicensed decided on his own to mount ALL of our material backwards and then got upset when the tile started falling back off the wall. Their 45's on the corners were horrible. They filled in bullnose with grout only that should have held tile. They didn't even use a tile cutter! They used a hand held grinder to shatter and waste tons of material and mounted uneven and broken pieces of tile. The entire backsplash, bullnose AND drywall will have to be removed completely and reinstalled if it's ever going to be right. Floating Shelves: Oh where to begin. The contractor was told how to fix the issue. Instead of listening, he wasted 6 board feet of teak attempting to TOENAIL a floating shelf. Once again William's Boy Wonder not only failed, but failed FOUR TIMES at my expense. The shelf was completely loose. They tried to fill a drywall void with putty and then painted OVER it before i was cured. Obviously it was not sanded, etc. Ridiculous and juveniles. Bathroom: They damaged walls and did not repair. They trashed a $400 shower curtain set up by cutting it with a grinder when it was already adjustable. They trashed a freestanding tub fixture. The first thing they did wrong was attempt to mount it to a filthy floor WITH DECKING SCREWS instead of the supplied studs. Let me clarify. There is a pic attached of this. There are TWO deck screws in each hole and they aren't holding ANYTHING. They did not install the base plate and apparently threw it away. THIS is the finished result that William claims we were happy with. Well after stepping into the bathtub to reach up and adjust the shower arm I promptly fell out of the tub. If my wife had done that she would have been in the hospital or worse. They did not silicone the tub in. And when this was brought to their attention, their fix was what? Oh just do the front. We ripped it out first thing this morning so that I can be done right. The shower fixture was installed improperly as it only puts out lukewarm water. Nothing was done to correct any of this. Like the kitchen faucet, we have had to re-purchase the bathrub unit as well because they tossed the base plate. Another $200 in costs flushed straight down the drain. The Contractor was paid a total of $10,350. They were given Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to repair their work. They failed and were dismissed. They have refused to refund or send an addition crew. Reality is that William Reeder of Wiggins, MS is operating as a GC with multiple crews. He attempts to structure his contracts under the $5000 limit, but as he did with us, really doesn't care about the law. And he is certainly great at playing games and making you think he cares. But his "crews" are out there working today ripping off other people while he walks away with our 10 grand and leaves us with a huge mess. We demanded his liability insurance carrier information which he has refused. What I have described is illegal under MS Law, the textbook definition of contractor fraud and what happens when you work with an unlicensed entity. A complaint has been opened with the Mississippi Board of Contractors for the following violations: Unlicensed Contracting Gross Negligence Failure of a Contractor to Fulfill Terms Poor Workmanship Abandonment Bidding without a License (No residential construction license) Bidding Outside of Classification (Acting as a GC) More Pictures and videos are available.
