  I've used these two places: Beauty Company ($50) - http://beautycompanysf.com/ 2325 Polk Street Make sure you ask for a newer stylist. More senior stylist go up to the $100+ range. You can make an appt online. Solid Gold ($55) - http://solidgoldsalon.com/ 812 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA I love my haircut from this place more. Also if you want something funkier or edgy these are your people. I got a super boring haircut though and they also did a great job.
