  [Manhattan Psychiatric Services](http://www.psychservicesny.com) is two people, both of whom seem very nice and professional (though I can only personally recommend NPP [Nudrat Bisciello](http://www.psychservicesny.com/about-our-practice/our-providers.html)) who are psychiatric nurse practitioners who can prescribe. It costs a lot less than a regular psychiatrist and they give you a receipt for whatever out-of-network benefits you can reap. I bet there are other practices that work on this model (NPP with a supervising psych), so you might search for that. I haven't found a better solution (there are like 3 in-network practitioners on my whole plan and they're not taking new patients...)
