My prescription is around -3 to -4 in both my eyes, and last time I had my eyes checked the doctor said I'd be a good candidate. I've moved since then, so I need to find a doctor. Anyone have this done and know a good doctor/clinic? Should I see an optometrist first? Any other advice?

  My wife went to Will Vision in Vancouver about a year ago (site is willvision.com but it seems to be down right now?), and they did an amazing job. She went from essentially blind without her contacts to having slightly better than 20/20 vision. They were professional and helpful--she highly recommends them. The only thing that was a little odd about the place is that they asked her if it was alright if they said a little prayer before the surgery... but they waited until she was on the table and drugged up. She said it would have been a lot more uncomfortable if she weren't on Valium :)
