  Cancer and marijuana Hello - currently a recreational user but I was diagnosed with breast cancer about a week ago. First oncologist appointment is in a few days and I was planning on asking her about getting my medical card, but after some research it looks like that’s not how it’s done? I looked at the list of providers on the state website and there are a handful in my area but none of them appear to be oncologists. Can I just call one of these doctors listed and get the ball rolling without waiting for the oncologist? I don’t particularly want to wait only to find out she’s not the person to issue the card anyway. I’m in the Westside suburbs of Cleveland if anyone has any recommendations for a provider.

  Docmj.com but it’s like $180 every 7 months for re-verification and then you have to pay for the state card too. I’ve only used Docmj so I can’t speak to the rest. I have never had a problem working with them; in fact I just finished a 5 minutes tele-medicine appt last week and it was super easy

My chiropractor said he was going to refer me out to a pain management doctor that would not only take my medical insurance, but would/could also do the medical card paperwork, but I haven’t heard from anyone, and he didn’t remember the name.... kind of a weird guy, actually.... anyway. I’m about 40 minutes west of lost points in the Orlando metro, and I’ve live here my whole life, so I know my way around. Thanks in advance. Edit: Thanks everyone for the tips and suggestions.   Docmj.com - easy, never had any issues, Dr. Glider is nice enough. I don't know about pricing compared to other services, but I think it's $169 for 7 months (on top of the State fee of around $75). I get all my supplies at Trulieve - the one on Dale Mabry north of Waters tends to have a good selection of strains/products Good luck! The system isn't perfect but it works
