About us

OUR PROGRAMS:

GREEN STREET HEALTH CLINIC:
With the assistance of all volunteers--including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other health care providers--the Shalom Project runs a health clinic each Wednesday night. The Health Clinic has become a place where residents receive their primary health care, a licensed pharmacy fills prescriptions written by the Clinic's doctors at no cost, and medical interns have an opportunity to receive community care training.
Those either uninsured or under insured are welcome to come to the Clinic for their basic health care needs. No documentation is required, but a list of current medications is helpful.
Schedule: Every Other Wednesday. Check in begins at 4:00

FOOD PANTRY AND CLOTHING CLOSET:
The Clothing Closet and Food Pantry are open each Tuesday. Volunteers and staff sort and distribute food and clothing to members of the community that find themselves in need of these resources.
The food pantry partners with The Second Harvest Food Bank, local associations, and area faith communities that hold food drives and make both material and financial donations.
- The Clothing Closet receives seasonal donations from a variety of sources and distributes them at no cost.
-Clients are eligible every 30 days.
Schedule: Each Tuesday morning from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Please bring a type of photo ID (does not have to be state-issued).

THE WELCOME TABLE:
The community is invited and encouraged to join us at The Welcome Table. The community gathers in the Fellowship Hall of Green Street Church to be served a delicious and nutritious meal prepared by their neighbors.
There is no cost for the supper; however, there is suggested donation of $1 for adults and 50 cents for children for those who are able to pay.
Schedule: Each Wednesday evening from September through May at 6 p.m
