About us

In Temple times, G-d instructed the Children of Israel to bake Lechem HaPanim (Show Bread) every Friday afternoon. According to the Talmud, it miraculously stayed warm and fresh from one Shabbat to the next, when the Kohanim would eat it. This brought great blessings to all of Israel. Today, we have our Shabbat tables and challah.

Panima was founded in 2013 by Erika & Brad Shuman to raise funds for Akiva School tuition for their children. Additionally, 20% of all gross receipts are donated to the Akiva School.

Our challah is so fresh and tasty because we use only the finest ingredients. We've been baking with coconut oil for years not only for the health benefits but also because our baked goods stay fresh & moist for days.
