Over the past decade, the concept of a homestay has been gaining popularity throughout India. It literally means "a stay by a traveler who is hosted by a local family". 1. To educate home stay owners in hospitality, cooking and cleanliness.
2. To empower the women folk by helping them run the Home Stays and be financially independent.
3. To upgrade the lifestyle of people in rural areas by guiding them set up a Home Stay and getting them a regular income.
4. Setting up a shop in every village to sell local handicrafts.

Run by Mumbai based Amee who herself is a passionate cook, it is one-of-its-kind place to eat & sleep in Sangla. They have only two rooms which are to be booked much in advance.
