About us
We exist to create the highest quality furniture available. Our pieces are made of solid wood and will last for generations. We believe that everyone should be able to sit, eat, or talk around a piece of furniture that they helped to create, one they can be proud of. We like to call our designs "functional art". Something that is beautiful and makes people say "wow!" when they see it, but also something that can take a rigors of everyday use, that can be knocked, bumped, hit, spilt on, and sat on while keeping its beautiful form.
Our time on earth may be short, but the memories created around a Sam Rouse piece will be told and cherished for generations.

This is why I make:
I find so much beauty in taking the wood in it rough state and making it into something that is beautiful. I draw my inspiration from Jesus Christ, who in a similar way, took me in my own rough state and has been over the years making and shaping me into something beautiful. He has taken an ugly and rotten heart and is molding my heart into something of worth. Much like the wood who can't make itself into something new without me, I also need a maker to redeem me and bring out my full potential.
When I look at my work, I am thankful that God has blessed me with a career where I can so clearly see that parallel, and I have a deep gratitude that unlike myself my Maker is perfect. He never misses a cut or has a stupid mistake. My hope and assurance rests in that when I die and his work is done I will be with him a perfectly redeemed creation.
It is with this mindset that I approach every piece I make and am honored to be a creator, made in His image and reflecting my purpose through my work.
