Don't waste your money by going to a Eddies program. Paid $9000, for what's maybe worth $6000. Yes the hotel and pool is nice, but that is about it. We are from America and hold 2 days of Yom Tov and unfortunately we had no minyan the second day when we were told otherwise, or a Yom tov meal. We were told by Shelly, the program director, "we gave you breakfast, most people ate then, if you want, you can pay extra for the hotel buffet lunch." What did we pay an extra $3000 for? There was barely any shmura matzah or wine for the Seder. Water is free but if you want soda or juices at the meals, or wine, that is also extra!!! Then when I went to get breakfast and wanted to take some to my room for my family in a take away container, because we came home late, they didn't let all of a sudden when they let the past few days. What are they worried about, there won't be enough? I thought I'm on vacation, I have to be on their schedule and I can't take anything, especially when there's no food till dinner? I was told the manager made this policy. If you are coming from the US don't waste your money by coming to an EDDIES program. There are much better values and programs elsewhere. We get it's Israel but this is coming from someone who's been to 7 different programs over the last 10 years, ranging from Hawaii, Las Vegas, San Diego, Canada, Florida etc..so I've seen a lot, good, mediocre and disappointing, this 1 falls to the latter. This is the most expensive and stingiest one of them all and it's only the 1st day of chol hamoed.

Our experience with Eddie’s Kosher Travel !!! We made the mistake of going with them for Pessach 2014 to Netanya at the Ramada Suites hotel. Their hype and their ads promise a lot, they charge a bundle, but they deliver very little. They don’t provide trips on Chol Hamoed like other tour groups do, and their entertainment was pitiful to say the least (just a couple of old movies). Their afternoon tea room was a joke, with hardly any cakes, hidden in a little corner of the basement, with practically no room to sit down and enjoy your tea or coffee, and no ambiance whatsoever. For the Seder, they only provided grape juice and a very heavy sweet, red wine, and if you wanted to bring your own wine, they charged a very hefty ‘corking fee’.. Also, there were no soft drinks provided with the meals, and they would not let you bring your own, they would force you to buy from the hotel at exorbitant prices. They tried to squeeze every possible shekel out of you to improve their profit margin.. The hotel staff was very rude and not helpful at all when it came to customer complaints. The hotel lobby is not very impressive and there is no access to the beach. To be fair, the only positives were the quality and variety of food and the children’s program. When I posted these comments on their Facebook page, they quickly deleted them (twice, once when I posted from Israel and once when I posted on Friday afternoon in New York and it was already Shabbat in Israel). Apparently, they monitor their page 24/7, and they don’t allow any negative comments.. After seeing my posting, the owner (David Walles) was very eager to speak to me, and when we did speak, instead of being apologetic and trying to correct the problems, he proceeded to scream at me with a barrage of insults about daring to criticize his program. Would definitely not go with them again or recommend their program..
