  GT Counseling Center is, indeed, usually insanely backlogged. However, they do have the ability to refer you out, and they have a list of folks in the area. If you have transportation, [Heartwork Counseling](www.htwcc.org/) or [ Metropolitan Counseling](https://mcsatlanta.org/) offer sliding scale services. [Samaritan](http://samaritanatlanta.org/) used to offer sliding scale counseling - not just Christian Counseling - regular, licensed, psychotherapy. I haven't known folks there for a while, though. Worth asking, since they are in midtown. If you have the student health insurance, look at your provider list. They have a pretty low deductible and copay if you see someone in network.

  http://www.htwcc.org/ There are many women who work here....my lady is absolutely wonderful and I couldn't recommend Heartwork enough. It is affordable, close, and stress free. I attempted to go through my insurance and the stress wasn't worth it...however this place is worth every penny you give them.

  [Heartwork Counseling Center](http://www.htwcc.org/) is non-profit and offers services on a sliding scale. Top of the scale is $100, but I'm not sure of the low end. Good luck.
