  thinking about getting my Real estate license, looking for suggestions on a Broker. $1,000,000 - Austin, TX Not interested in a big cult brokerage. Buy, sell, trade about half a dozen deals a year and looking to step that up a notch or two. I probably refer 10 or 12 realtors a year and might as well pick that up myself.   I hear you about the big cult brokerages. I felt the same way. I ended up going with AustinRealEstate.com. We are a small, high tech, boutique agency located in Westlake/Rollingwood area. Every agent performs; no part timers. We have 3 that were just nominated for the ABJ RRE Awards, and our owner, Crystal Olenbush is consistently ranked in the top 10. Last year she ranked 4 th. We have realtors that focus on high end luxury, first time home buyers, developers, and investors. One even develops himself. I’d love to talk more about ARE if you’re interested.

I heard someone at work saying you should negotiate the realtor fee in times like these? Not sure what that means, don't have much experience with real estate.
