  Hella Vegan Eats in Oakland, Butcher's Son in Berkeley, Veggie Grill as a chain option, Shizen in SF (all vegan sushi!), Veganburg in SF, Nourish in SF for healthy cravings, Souley Vegan in Oakland... Honorable mentions for nonvegan places with great vegan options: Mensho Tokyo-vegan ramen (the best!) Mac'd-vegan Mac n' cheese Both in SF I used to love Gracias Madre but I refuse to support them anymore after the whole change.

  Great question and I love reading the comments. I love all these places, with the exception of Gracias Madre (they are horrible and their food is bland). My favorite place is FLACOS! Now that's real vegan Mexican food!

  I have been to pretty much all of the places mentioned...but my favs are The Butchers Son, Veganburg, Donut Farm, Nono burger, Shizen, Gracias Madre & Millenium...and Patxi's has a really good vegan deep dish pizza
