  I'd strongly recommend [Globe Electric](http://globetattoodc.com/) in Columbia Heights, it's owned by a couple that worked at Jinx Proof for some number of years beforehand. Incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clean environment — plus they do some beautiful work. You should be able to peruse their Instagram via that link to get a sense of their style and strengths. Not sure what their available appointment slots look like nowadays, but pre-COVID it was normally a 1-2 month wait for an appointment, another month for the first session.
