Good electricians in St. Louis? Can anybody recommend a good electrician in the St. Louis area? I've got an issue with ungrounded outlets in an old home and need some advice. To this point, I've heard conflicting advice, and need somebody who knows their stuff to set the record straight.

DAT Contracting is one of the few who aren't incompetent and/or crooks. http://www.dat-contracting.com/ To have truly grounded outlets, you need a conductor connecting the outlet to the ground bus on the breaker panel or separate ground stake if you happen to have one. Metallic conduit can serve as the ground conductor if it meets certain criteria, but the safest and most reliable way is to run a new copper ground wire. It will be a single solid copper wire with green insulation.
