There's one at The Fountains and a new location just opened on Sunland Park Dr. If you don't mind walking across the border, many 'opticas' there will do a free eye exam and the prices for glasses are very affordable.   Order from a Canadian company. They don't need a prescription. You can also use https://www.opternative.com/ to get a discount prescription if you really want one. It might be BS but it's useful if you know what you want.
