WeatherIsGreatUpHere replied:I'm a dual citizen and I've always done it myself. Though, my taxes are getting more an more complicated each year. TurboTax Deluxe and up helps you through the form 2555 which you'll have to file. I met with an accountant last week and she mentioned to use separate accountants for US and Canada as having one for both would be too expensive. (Haven't researched that claim). She also mentioned to file your American taxes first and then bring your american tax return to a Canadian accountant to get your proper foreign tax credits. It's a pain in the butt, and yes it would be really nice to have an affordable one-stop-shop for all this crap.
