  Coming to the Charleston area for Vacation with a GF soon. What are some of the best things to do? A girlfriend and I are going to Kiawah Island for a week (Oct 13th - 20th), and I am looking for what come good things to do are. We both pretty active (hiking, biking, etc). Are there any really good wineries or breweries that anyone recommends?

  not a huge selection here for that kind of thing, but: http://www.holycitybrewing.com/ you could easily see all the sights downtown on bicycle, if you want to transfer your outdoor skills to the city streets! i always recommend the plantations in the area because they are beautiful. at magnolia plantation, there is plenty of walking, but not a lot of hiking around here.
