  Houston, can you recommend any assisted living establishments? We just started looking into assisted living establishments and it is a little overwhelming. I'm looking for places and companies to check out/ avoid. Any advice in the process is welcome. Independent-living retirement communities are not an option at this time, maybe in the future.

  http://www.stdominicvillage.org/ My Grandmother lived in the independent living section, but I understand there is an assisted living area. I thought the place was very nice, clean and one of the more affordable places about 10 years ago. It is over in the med center though. Good luck
