2 requests for school dance preparations from Andi Durrell:
1. Paper Snowflakes: good project for no school days. We are in need of paper snowflakes for decorations at the Feb. 8 Winter Formal School Dance. If your kids are looking for something creative to do during snow days (or whenever), could you show them how to fold the paper and cut the shapes and get them working on making snowflakes? We have an awfully big cafeteria, and it will take a lot of snowflakes to transform it into a Winter Wonderland (our theme). I have e-mailed my daughter's teacher (Tincu) and solicited her help...maybe some of you could do the same with your kids' teachers? It might be a good project for those indoor recesses. You can send them to school with your children and I will let Rachel and Kathy in the office know so they can collect them for me.
2. I am struggling to find a dance instructor for our upcoming Feb. 8 school dance and was wondering if any of you "dance moms" who have kids enrolled in various dance schools would be willing to ask your kids' instructors if they might consider offering an hour of their time on Feb. 8 7-8pm...the PTO is willing to pay for that service. Initially I wanted someone who could show us a couple of ballroom dances (waltz, cha-cha, etc.) since this is a Formal, but at this point I would be happy to find someone who could lead us in some line or activity dances. Thanks in advance!
