Two years ago (after several misdiagnoses), I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. I've also been a type one diabetic (26 years-autoimmune disease, insulin dependent), and have hypothyroidism (10 yrs). I wondered if anyone knows a rheumatologist who worked with type one diabetics (capable of assisting endocrinologist with strict monitoring of steroids and methotrexate on T1D). I've looked at BMC-if anyone knows a doctor in Boston or Quincy who has knowledge of patients who primarily present their disease with polymyalgia rheumatica and polymyositis.
