Rehoming Pets.. Title says it. I can no longer keep my pet and I’m heartbroken. Does anyone know of animal shelters/human societies or rescues where I can rehome a pet? I have a lizard (abnormal I know) so they’d have to take exotic pets. I’m ok if it’s in MD or VA, I can drive.
Thanks y’all.
Cat's teeth cleaning Does anyone have any recommendations for a vet in the DC area that does cat teeth cleaning for a reasonable price? We are calling and getting quotes from numerous vets and the prices are all over the board and especially high. Thanks!

Not 100% sure if the DC Humane Alliance does teeth cleaning, but I imagine they do. My cat needed a tooth removed a couple months ago and it cost $450 for both the pre-operative blood work and extraction itself. [https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/](https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/)
I'd like to start volunteering with an animal shelter. Can anyone recommend an animal shelter they've had good experiences with? Has anyone had good experiences at/volunteering at adoption events run by shelters? Or know of dog walking programs? Are there any shelters I should avoid?
I live in DC, so in the district is ideal but NoVA and MD aren't out of the question. I have a car, but if public transportation is available I'd opt for that.
I'm hoping to volunteer in a way where I get to interact with animals, especially dogs. Basically, I don't want to clean cages or do admin work and not get to interact with the animals. If I could avoid cleaning cages and doing admin work and still get to hang out with the animals, that would be even better.
Thank you!
