  Looking for reputable roofer to evaluate my roof after the brigades of cold calls came through all of our neighborhoods alarming us about hail damage. Want to find someone who will really inspect it and let me know what, if any concerns I have. Was going to call S&K? Any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks.

  Sharon , we are preferred vendors as Cathy Specht mentioned. Any work we do is backed by your insurance company (80% of them we represent). All our inspectors are HAAG certified which is specifically trained for hail damage. We also work with forensic engineering firms for storm inspections. But here are some things you should know. 1. Some insurance companies only give 6 months from the storm date which was 5/22/14 to make a claim. Travelers and Nationwide to be specific. Others give 1 year etc. 2. Different insurance companies are looking for varying degrees of damage for your policy to cover it. IE functional hail damage vs physical shingle damage. One insurance company will deny your roof while another would approve your roof for the same exact damage based on policy. If you don't have one of the two mentioned 6 mos company's then you can just relax and take your time. Hail doesn't cause leaks, hail takes sometimes years to actually show its damage (why training is crucial to identify it now). These other companies that have been mentioned would do a great job replacing a roof for you I'm sure. My post is information for you on if the actual damage being present or not and this is precisely what we do. Check out our website www.rebuildinc.com and you will see what insurance companies we represent and you can see if you have that carrier and if you do your insurance company will accept any inspection we perform as we are trained in their policies. Best thing is to see what's covered and if a new roof is in the future for you, then choosing a contractor is step two. I would also mention the following areas had big hail and damage. Ashleigh Knolls, many parts of highland, clarksville off of brighton dam road, the largest was near the quarry, some areas off of Hall Shop road. We did about 45 Roofs in Ashleigh Knolls since 5/22/14 alone. Smaller hail, not as damaged, would be River Hill, the other areas off Guilford road, Glenelg, and dayton. Most contractors are targeting River Hill because the roofs are Certainteed Horizons and discontinued. By being discontinued, some policies have matching endorsements which mean one damaged shingle get you a new roof. I hope this has helped fill you in on what the situation is, no need to rush out or be concerned about leaks etc. If you have a covered roof then you can interview all the companies and choose who is best for you.   Our neighbor on Brighton Dam had S&K and the roofer did not even go up on the roof with the insurance claims adjuster. With ReBuild Randy Specht he went up on our roof with the adjuster which I think is necessary.

  Rebuild, Inc. - We are located in Columbia and work closely with the insurance companies. Many of them have us come out on their behalf for assessments. We give honest inspections. There are lots of neighborhoods in our area that were no affected by the hail storm, and yet there are still companies canvassing those neighborhoods encouraging homeowners to make insurance claims. We have a lot of local references in Clarksville, Fulton, Highland areas.
