  Hey guys, I'm new to Florida and still trying to network and meet with other animal lovers, vegans and activists. We're actually going to Miami this weekend for a concert and as it turns out, pitbulls are banned in Miami. :/ So, we're looking for a pet sitter for our little Pookie and her daughter Goldie. They're both friendly and love people but Pookie doesn't really get along with other dogs except Goldie, so they would need their own space. The first place we called was the Tampa Puppy Palace and they were like "Pitbulls? No way" I had no idea that this was such a prejudice state. Seriously, just look at them! http://www.rover.com/members/diamond-m-in-new-orleans/dogs/ We did find one lady who said she's board our babies but she was batshit crazy and turned her down... Anyhow, if anyone knows of some business, service or person that can help us Sat-Mon morning, I would really appreciate any recommendations. Al Monaco 504-722-3857

  I'm sure this doesn't help at the moment because I can't help this weekend I'm full, BUT, please keep us in mind next time! We are very personalized pet care providers and we do overnights in our home or yours. We take very small groups, (5 max) we don't turn anyone away and have been very successful at integrating dogs that didn't like others and now they all have friends. Please check us out and with a little heads up, we would love to help with Pookie and Goldie in the future. I'm sorry for the experience you've had and please know there are those of us that love and accept all breeds! BTW we service Carrollwood, Sem Heights and S. Tampa.
