Is a real estate agent needed when buying a new construction home? I’m looking to buy a condo/townhome with my fiancée, and we found the perfect one. It’s in a new construction community and they’re set to be done around October/November. This will be my first home purchase, and I’ve always seen that a real estate agent is needed when buying an older home. Is it necessary for a new home? When it comes to financing, I have a background in banking and understand how to work the mortgage. I don’t really know what a real estate agent would be needed for in a new construction purchase that I’ve already found myself. Any advice would be great! Thanks!
EDIT: I’ve decided to get an agent before going to look at the property. I still want to learn as much as possible to make smart informed decisions as I go. Any advice would be helpful as I’m a first time buyer. Thank you everyone who shared their opinions and experiences!

When buying new construction home many buyers believe it’s a good idea to have a real estate agent. The thought process behind this real estate truth is that it can save them money which is absolutely true. It’s important that when hiring a real estate agent to represent you in the purchase of a new construction home that you know ask the right questions. Another reason to hire a real estate agent when buying new construction is their ability to negotiate on your behalf. So If you are interested i will suggest you one name that is Aronov Realty.
