  Depending on what style you’re looking for, that’s an extremely open-ended question. Plus there are many high level luthiers in the U.S. That being said, David Pace in the Baltimore area is among the best. If you haven’t already, go to a store specializing in classical guitars. They will have a substantial selection of guitars to try out ranging from student to concert level. Savage Classical Guitar on Long Island is definitely notable. The Classical Guitar Store in Philly and the customer oriented service Bill provides is incredible—that’s speaking from personal experience.
