  From a momma: I am trying to find a GI doctor and nutritionist in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area for my son who is 2 years old. My son has been suffering from constipation & even when his bowels are soft he still cries in pain & have a difficult time getting it to pass. When he was at Vanderbilt childrens hospital in Nashville the doctors there said he may have a malrotation and I want to get a second opinion about it while I'm in the area. My son has tricare and united health community(ssi). Can anyone recommend a GI doctor that can see my son asap. I have another month in area before I relocate back to the Nashville area. TIA FTA NOTE: Parent is unable to get an appointment at CHOP.

  Are you willing to go to Wilmington, DE? Try duPont - that's where our docs are, and they've been really good about getting in quickly if necessary. Our doc is Dr. DelRosario, but we've also had Dr. Shaffer and loved him, too - plus he's a motility s pecialist so he might be the one to help. 302-651-4200 is scheduling, but you could call the department directly and explain the situation and see what they could do - 302-651-5928

  Hi, Dupont children's Hospital has a team of fabulous urologists. I cannot off the top of my head remember the handfull of Drs. my daughter saw, but they were all WONDERFUL!! Not only in their field, but with my daughter on her level...great bedside mannor!! 302-651-4200 to schedule an appt. They are right off 95 and 202 in Wilmington, DE. They do take KM because my son has it as his primary due to dx. Good luck
