Called beacher e mcneal unfortunately for a estimate. I wanted to replace my water filter system due to its age. There was no problem with my system it is in great working order just was older and in need of replacement. He had said he charges 180 dollars to come to my home to took at the system I have so he could give a estimate. I then asked if I sent pictures of my system would that help on getting a estimate without paying the 180 he said send the pics and we could go from there. I sent three pictures of the two tanks I have one is a filter the other is a pressure / air bladder. The pictures where very detailed. There was even a sticker with a name & model & part number on the air bladder. Gives me a fair price to do the job seemed good to me. This man shows up at my house with his female helper and looks at my pressure / air bladder tank and says he got the wrong one. I asked how so I sent you very detailed pictures with model name and part number. He then starts getting loud and talking down to his female helper I couldn't believe how he disrespected her in front of me and my girl friend. He then looks over my water filter system and says he has 30 years experience as a plumber and everything was working as it should and said I should replace the well pump because that's more important then the filter. I said if it's working good why replace it made no sense to me. He then packs up and says he needed 180 dollars for a service call and that 180 would come off the bill when he came back to do the water filter job. I call him three different times over 3 weeks no estimate. I finally got to talk to him and said he wanted me to preform a test that would check my well pump. I asked him if you have 30 years experience why dident you check it while you was here and he said " I DIDENT THINK ABOUT IT I FORGOT". then hung up on me. Seems this guy is your typical hot headed short fused contractor / plumber. I feel that this man only has his best interest in mind when it comes to pricing jobs out he wants to sell you what's most expensive and no matter if you need it or not. For this man to come to my home bring the wrong part then verberie talk down loudly to his female helper then check my system and say everything is working as it should but is telling me I need to replace my well pump seems very shady to me. Do your self a favor and stay far away from this guy .....
