  Dr. Stuart Daitch on 50 th St near Rock Center. I've been going to him since I first moved to NY. www.drdaitch.com; I'm also not sure what would be considered "affordable," but he won't do anything unnecessary, and he's frequently helped me when something major might have been too expensive -- like a crown.
