About us
Walrus Services ABA Group is a for profit agency dedicated to all individuals with developmental disabilities. We strongly believe in utilizing behavior principles. In our work with clients affected with autism we design specific treatments prevention/interventions which focus in Applied Behavior Analysis programming with a major emphasis on communication and social skills.
We specialize in behavioral, social and educational needs of children with Autism. We offer home and community based programming and focus on all and any areas our students need assistance with. In addition to meeting the academic needs of each student, we also work on programs that target other aspects of daily living. We are commonly known to assist at doctor’s appointments, swim class, the grocery store, and in the classroom. Our outreach is not limited to location, as we believe every situation and setting can be used as a learning opportunity.
As we work in many locations and settings, we also work with all and any willing individuals who play an active role in a student’s life. We work with peers, siblings, teachers, and parents to help facilitate appropriate communication, play, and other necessary social skills. Siblings and peers are invited to work on various targets with our students such as turn taking, sharing, and trading. Parents are invited to join in compliance trials, communication training and outings. Teachers are encouraged to meet and discuss behavior plans and academic programs. Upon special request we have held classroom meetings regarding our student’s means of interacting and effective ways for others to communicate with that student. From the home to classroom, and doctor’s office to the grocery store, we work on all aspects of life.

Our work is based on Principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As behaviorists we must include Natural Environment Training (NET) and include Verbal Behavior Training (VBT).
