What's the best way to locate someone trained in abdominal massage? I'm looking to find an abdominal massage therapist in
Is there a name for this type of therapy that might make it easier to find a therapist? I'm primarily looking for gentle organ massage, especially the colon. Direct Psoas work would be nice, too. I also have a significant amount of scar tissue in my pectorals. I've got front body issues! Many therapists prefer to work on my back.
I've straight up had therapist ignore my request for frontal work, which is their right, but it got me to thinking, perhaps I could see a specialist?
What's the best way to find an abdominal therapist? Can anyone make a recommendation, either for a therapist, or a protocol/style?
So far the only thing I've found is a chinese medicine school that does frontal massage, but they don't speak english.
Thanks in advance!

Go to ABMP.com or AMTA.com and search for Maya Abdominal massage. These websites represent the two largest insurance providers for massage therapists. You can search by location, modality, etc. Anyone you find here is recognized by an extremely large and professional institution.
Does anyone know of a massage therapist in the French Lick, IN. Area? And yes, I know that there is a spa on site... Unimpressed for the price and looking for another alternative.

Looking for myofascial release massage in the bay area. help? Hi massage-it,
A few years ago I had a massage that included a technique the therapist called Myofascial Release. Since then I have asked any therapist / practitioner ( I get a massage about once a quarter - ish) and have always been told that they didn't do it.
How can I go about finding someone in the bay area that does this (preferably peninsula / south bay area) ? I've tried the high end places ( Watercourse, Burke Williams) with no luck.
thanks!

You could check out amta.com, they have a search feature where you can find registered lmts (licensed massage therapists) with the modalities they are trained in.
