I looked up places that let you rent pickup trucks or small moving vans, but they’re around $20+$.80 per mile, and you have to return the truck at the same location you got it (typically), so it ends up being around $160 just to move a freaking couch! Willing to pay around $75. Let me know if you have any recommendations or can help! The couch is rather large, so I think it’d need at least a 7 ft pickup truck bed to fit.

The only "bad" thing is that they're not professional movers so they weren't as apt at maneuvering some items. But perfectly fine for a small move and if you don't mind getting your own truck.

They charged only about $400 for what was a 10 hour move (my friend provided the truck). Unfortunately they aren't returning my calls/texts. I would love to find some experienced labor like that if any of y'all know a couple of guys who can do that. I'm moving from Hoover to Hoover (about a 5 mile drive).
