My 3 year old has a cavity and his dentist is REALLY pushing to sedate him with Versed and I feel like that isn't necessary for a small filling and possibly dangerous. It's not laughing gas, it's an actual liquid they drink, similar to Valium. Try reasoning with a 3 year old and then put the drill in their mouth.
