The exhaust fan in the master bathroom, which he said needed replacing, actually had an electric wire jamming the fan. As soon as we closed, my wife and I turned on the garbage disposal only to find it leaking water like a rainfall. Did he turn the water on or just the switch? When we turned on just the water, it still leaked liked a rainfall. He also sold us on an inspection of the truss connections for another $90.00 which would save us $500.00 in home insurance per year. Turns out Mike's inspection was irrelevant, or Mike does not know the specifications of Florida law. Our home was built after 2004 and the insurance savings were applied without his inspection. He got his money, we got the same insurance cost. I had an exhaust fan over my stove installed. When on the roof, the installers found screws backing out of the metal roof along with a damaged ridge cap. This proves Mike Gordon, who worked as my agent, did not walk the roof to be sure all was well, however, he wrote up the report saying the roof was ok. This guy is a crook in my opinion. If you use Mike Gordon, expect to be taken. I would say do not listen to your realtor, find your own inspector.
