Does anyone know of any camera stores in Greenville or Anderson? Or I wonder if pawn shops carry camera lenses.......

Some comments as a former pro photographer in Greenville. First, don't go to Cameras Unlimited, that guy marks his stuff way up and doesn't care whether he makes a sale or not. Limited selection also. Second, good thing about Nikon is that all Nikon lenses will fit all Nikon SLRs. But if you have a lower end non pro model, the older lenses might not have autofocus. I think the D7000 is the lowest one that can control even the really old blade style autofocuses. The more modern Nikkor lenses use a similar system to the Canon EOS system where it's just a set of contacts that tell the ultrasonic motors in the lens what to do. Third, good glass is ALWAYS good glass. If you find an awesome 1.8 prime from decades ago, it's still a great lens, AS LONG AS no fungus has grown inside it. (Caveat here: modern lenses have coatings on the inside to stop light from bouncing around as much, as film was not as sensitive to stray "sideways" light as modern CMOS sensors are)
