Chicago trade school recommendations. I have been doing a apprenticeship to be a electrician for the past 5 months, I am trying to go to school here in Chicago, but the trade school I wanted to apply to is closing forever(Coyne college). Any licensed electricians from around my area have some other good school recommendations??? I want to learn all the codes and troubleshooting etc....

In Chicago it's basically the union school or nothing. (www.ejatt.com) However, as far as I know, they are not currently taking new applications due to the pandemic.
Does anyone know which are the best schools/training programs to become an electrician in the Chicago land area? Recently, I have decided that my current degree is never going to pan out and was a dumb life decision to have made. So, I have begun to search for a school/apprenticeship program to begin a career in Electrical. I am hoping for any advice on schools in Chicago or the Chicago land area that any of you might have been to. Also, how much did school end up costing you and are there many grants for becoming an Electrician?
Thanks for your time!

Cook County is IBEW Local 134. I am a member and can answer any questions. Apprenticeship Link: http://www.ejatt.com/ DuPage County is Local 701, Lake County is Local 150, Will County is Local 176, Elgin is 117 and Aurora is 461. There are others as you go farther out.
Can anyone suggest a good top paying career with the least amount of school?!?
