    L. Pickel - Long time Rancho Cucamonga Community Supporter / U.S. Army Veteran PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW. IT IS NOT A RANT, THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED EXPERIENCE YOU DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE. PLEASE READ YELP REVIEWS BEFORE YOU GO TO CLEAR VIEW OPTOMETRY. IF YOUR AN OPTOMETRIST PLEASE COMMENT IF THIS MAKES SENSE OR NOT I do not make a habit of reviewing a business I have been a patron of, but now understand the importance of reading reviews before going through this abhorrent experience. I would not have went to Dr. Zubi and his staff at Clear View Optometry if I would of had any impression there would be such a debacle in customer service and customer satisfaction. Even more discerning having it happen at a medical proprietorship. 7/21/16 Thu- I provided my own frames, the lenses just needed to be replaced, cost was no question. My eye exam was thorough and complete by Dr. Zubi. I ordered per the sales associate lenses with (a) Progressive (b) Transition and most importantly (c) the pre Tint. Dr. Zubi told me I may have the beginning symptoms of Glaucoma, He gave me a letter stating so, My eyes are very sensitive to light. I Paid in full $700.00 plus and was told, in approximately 2 weeks, your glasses should arrive and you can come in and pick them up. I left and in two weeks... 8/4/16 Thu - I received a call from CVO that my glasses were ready for pick up and they close at 8PM. I worked until 8PM, so I left my work early excited that I will be able to see properly again, my vision is horrible, but to my dismay when she pulled my glasses out...One of the worst buying experiences began. At first sight I could see the lenses were not tinted, the associate then went to the front counter and looked up the order and consulted with Dr. Zhu momentarily who was sitting at the front desk. The associate proceeded to tell me, "Yes they were ordered with the tint, but the lab forgot to put it on." she then asked what I would like to do? I told her I would like to have them the way I ordered them or else I wouldn't of ordered them here. My first question was can these have pre tint.on 7/21. I was the told, " OK, It will probably take another 2 weeks", I asked if since it was to no fault of mine, could you possibly put a rush on them. please. The associate replied "We'll try". 8/8/16 Mon - I received a call and a voicemail from Stacey Ryans - Office Manager at Clear View Optometry, that.. QUOTING WORD FOR WORD FROM VOICEMAIL " This is Stacey from Clear View Optometry, I'm calling in regards to the glasses you ah (picked) up from over the weekend. I did call the lab to request the change, umm, apparently they were ordered originally with the transitions and the tint. Uh the staff that put the order in for you, uh did call in and asked specifically for that combination of things to be done on the lenses, Um I guess however with the Spectera insurance we're contracted to (inaudible) and they have certain restrictions and limitations to what they can do, and what their customer service just explained to me was that, Um, they cannot do the combination of transitions and a tint because of conflicting information in their system and they don't have the coding in their system to be able to input in that combination of, Um, Uh, what needs to be done to the lenses. They can either recognize the lens with the transitions or the tint but not both. Um so unfortunately with this lab it's just a combination of something they cannot do. We can change it to a solid tint if you request or you can keep them as is with the transition, Um but with this insurance lab again I am sorry this is just something they cannot do for us. Um, If you have any questions call the office back at (909)***-****, Thanks so much, Bye bye." Once at CVO, I introduced myself to the associate and told her I just received a call from Stacey. Stacey explained the same thing but not quite the same this time. She said there was nothing she could do unless I wanted to order the lenses with tint only but no transition, I expressed dismay and asked why this was not pointed out before i ordered and waited 2 weeks? She said they use a lot of labs the problem was the particular one they sent my glasses to, I was told this is the only of the many labs that will take Spectera Insurance. I asked to speak to Dr. Zubi since I was only patient here, I was told no, shes the manger. Dr Zubi walked behind here to the little room behind her while I was saying" Excuse me Dr. Zubi , May I speak with you, He would even look at me. Since I was getting brushed off I called out to him louder to speak to his patient. He never came out! I asked him to at least speak to me as a man, and not hide behind his young staff caught between my frustration and his practices incompetence. I will be filing with California State Board Of Optometry. optometry.ca.gov
