I used to take my car to Walmart(I know, don't get ahead of me) just for oil changes, and they always did a great job(SanTan). Some months ago I took it to Sun Devil on Warner/Val Vista, and they seemed pretty good. Fast forward to today, Walmart said Sun Devil screwed up. Took it back to them, they called me, changed the oil, but they're saying I need new break pads, transmission, and coolant. All for a little over $1000 in parts and labor. Which sounds pretty outrageous. They seem super nice, but I think that's where they get you. Anybody have a better place to go to? tl;dr, sun devil seems to lie/up charge, need more honest mechanics.   I just recently switched mechanics and feel like I made the right move. Did the dreaded google search for a mechanic and found http://www.highlineimportauto.com/ which have insane yelp reviews. Very reasonable rates (I only had an oil change and tire rotation done) and I didn't get any bs about things my car supposedly needed.
