Kechara Oasis at Viva Home
This is our Malaysian first ever fine vegetarian cuisine restaurant in a luxurious and beautiful ambience which can accommodate 600 person. It has 5 VIP rooms with karaoke facility, lounge and a tatami area. It can cater to events including weddings, birthdays, corporate functions and product launches.
Kechara Oasis started from a vision from His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche to promote vegetarianism and world peace. Since the time of Buddha Sakyamuni, there have been many wonderful teachers like Tsem Tulku Rinpoche sharing the message of compassion, forgiveness, loving kindness, equanimity and altruistic joy. Irene Lim, Director of Kechara Oasis has since make Tsem Tulku Rinpoche’s vision a reality by starting Kechara’s first vegetarian restaurant in Jaya One, Petaling Jaya in January 2009. Today Kechara Oasis is at Viva Home to promote vegetarianism to a larger population in Kuala Lumpur.
Food has always been an important part of our celebrations. More important still was sharing the food among family and friends. Meals are a gesture of connection with one another, and a common ground.
Regardless of your spiritual tradition or religious affiliation, our hope is to be able to encourage greater participation to make loving kindness and compassion in our daily lives and establish a community to go green and love mother earth. In doing so we become a viable partner in the effort to alleviate suffering in those around us and offer a choice of healthy living and happier lives.
Kechara Oasis does not only serve you food good for body, mind and spirit but also generate you stores of merits by contributing its proceed to a social responsible programme for our community.
Kechara Oasis serves natural, delicious and healthy cuisines sourced from the finest seasonal produce and only uses the freshest ingredients of the best quality. Its mantra is to serve food that befits a healthy lifestyle and encourages its diners to eat with... show more compassion, hence the theme “Make a healthier choice and be friends of planet Earth”.
Set up amidst a relaxing ambience with Tibetan touches, Kechara Oasis’ main dining room can comfortably accommodate up to 210 guests for dinner and lunch banquets at Jaya One branch and up to 600 guest for Viva Home branch. For special occasions, VIP rooms are available for more intimate settings. Kechara Oasis’ service team has over 12 years of experience hosting wedding receptions, special celebrations, non-profit events and business meetings. It has its very own event co-ordinators who will work with its clients to craft and design a truly wonderful and memorable event. show more
