He was not responsive as a general rule, and we often had to hold his hand in setting up calls with the architect (and others involved in the project) to get him to do his work. Ultimately, the plan he recommended for our renovation was very much of a "brute-force" approach, e.g. inserting major steel beams all over the house and knocking down full walls that didn't need to come down. About a third of the way through the project we decided to terminate the contract with him, and while we had to pay most of his fee, by bringing on another engineer we saved quite a bit of money (by going with a more thoughtful and straightforward plan), and did not have to continue working with him. Overall, I cannot recommend Nachum for your project, but if you do use him, I would strongly recommend holding off payment toward the end to ensure his portion of the work is complete.
