About us

Promoting overall health and wellness of your equine athlete through the use of professional sports massage techniques. Whether your horse is a weekend trail horse or a performance horse in training and competition, it is very likely experiencing muscle tension or pain that may be limiting him from performing to the best of his ability. We ask a lot of our horses and they ARE athletes! Muscular problems can be caused by a number of things, including: equipment, injury, unbalanced riders, overwork, lack of fitness, lack of flexibility, and even just the general requirements of their job. The list goes on and on!

Equine massage therapy is NOT a replacement for proper veterinary care, but meant to compliment your regular equine care program! It is very important that you have a great vet and a great farrier for your equine program. My focus is on identifying the root cause of problems, and not just treating the symptoms. Focusing on muscular issues, before they have reached the skeletal level, is a great way to keep your horse happy, healthy, and performing to the best of his ability, not to mention an excellent method of injury prevention!!

Sometimes horses present us with questions that are not easily answered. Equine sports massage therapy may be able to shed a light on some of these unanswered questions!
Maybe some of these issues have you stumped...massage might help you find the answer.
*Trouble/resistance when picking up a certain lead, or trouble/resistance to lead changes
*Unexplained bouts of lameness/not tracking properly
*Just doesn't "feel" right when you ride him; may feel unbalanced or bring his head or tail to the side, you may find yourself "slipping" to one side or the other
*Resisting training exercises that he was previously able to execute
*Showing signs of being back sore or might be irritable when grooming/saddling
Your horse may be compensating for discomfort and altering the way he moves.
