Desperately looking for recommendations for a seamstress in the Twin Cities. Well part of my fears came true and the Macy's that holds the bridal salon I bought my dress from is closing before my wedding. After speaking with them in person today and finding out 1) they have to be out by March 1st but still don't have an exact closing date 2) that dresses are being sent to Chicago and 3) that the stores only seamstress is going to Ecuador next week until middle of February yet I was assured my alterations I paid for would be finished before they'd have to leave I made the decision to take my dress today and am now looking for a recommended seamstress in the Minneapolis-St.Paul area who can hem, bustle, and do bodice work.
TLDR; Due to the salon I have already paid to do my alterations closing and the unconfident responses I received I decided to take my dress and am now looking for a new recommended seamstress in the Twin Cities area.
Thanks in advance Weddit!
