She has always done what I have "asked" her to do! Maybe you should of explained to her how you wanted your dog groomed. Believe it or not everyone is different! Unless your dog was matted terribly and she had no other option and it was warm outside and no instructions from you, then I can see her shaving your dog. Hair grows back!!! Pssst, she was done terribly wrong at her last place of employment! I was going to her back then and if you had been a customer of hers back then, you would know why she left there!

  Cate G. wrote: Horrible experience with her. We had our Great Pyrennes/Golden go in for a bath, grooming and cut. Her beautiful long coat is completely gone!!! She gave lots of excuses like our dog was fidgity, she misunderstood, etc. But she never called to clarify, just gave her the equilvalent of a buzz cut with a tuft of fur at the end of her tail. She is 8 years old and we have NEVER had to give a groomer instructions not to shave her! And we shouldn't have to. She wasn't matted, she hasn't ever been overly difficult for other groomers, she had our number so my only conclusion is that she either she botched her cut and had to 'fix' it by shaving her or she doesn't know how to cut 'feathering' on dogs with long hair. She never once apologized, didn't forewarn us that our dog had been shaved, and only agreed to refunding half of her grooming fee! She was fired by the last place she worked & I can see why!! I'm sure she's fine doing poodle cuts but don't take your dog if they have a long coat you love--her opinion as to what looks good trumps the owners'!!
