  Attorn B. wrote: I would give Chick's company a ZERO Rating if the site alllowed. Chick Torrence is the nasty owner of House Calls. I contacted Chick's company requesting his services for a home inspection and termite inspection. Because of scheduling changes, I decided not to more forward with the home inspection. Even though no specific amount of advanced notice was required, I provided Chick 3 days' notice informing him of my desire to cancel the home inspection and to continue use of his company for the termite inspection. To my surprise, NO ONE from Chick's company showed up at the home to complete the inspection at the agreed upon time. As my realtor was waiting nearly an hour for Chick to arrive, he reached out to chick to inquire as to when someone would be arriving. Chick answered the phone, confirmed he was aware of my scheduled inspection, then blatantly and egregiously said, "Oh F*CK her." This of course was a shock to my Realtor who asked Chick why he would say such a thing, and Chick said "Whatever, I do not want to go into it." My Realtor then hung up the phone on Chick in complete shock and informed me of Chick's cruel and unnecessary words. I could not believe it! Customers would get better service from the lowest level fast food restaurants than from this guy!! His words were so surprising since I had done nothing wrong but offer to pay him nearly $500 dollars for the subpar work I am now confident he would have performed. Hence, I will be filing a complaint against Chick and his company with the Department of Consumer Affairs. So Unless you're interested in paying your hard earned money to a disgraceful, nasty, unprofessional, and atrocious man, I suggest you obtain a home inspection from a deserving company.

  we used http://torrence-housecalls.com/ as he was recommended by our realtor good guy, spent about 2 hours looking over everything and sent us like a 35 page report on the house. not sure what the cost was
